Baby Curtains - Things To Consider
There are a few things which MUST be taken under consideration, when choosing baby nursery curtains:
- Thickness of baby curtains: This is a very important aspect. First you need to realize that nursery needs light, a lot of it and if you choose the curtains which are to thick, you can loose a light coming from outside. I know that people choose thick curtains in good faith, to give their youngster a calm environment when sleeping, but that couldn’t be further from the truth. Children need to observe shadows produced by the light coming trough the windows. Development of their brain is much affected by the surrounding. Abstract thinking (right side of brains) is being developed in the first couple of months. The other aspect is air. Using thick baby curtains prevents air to circulate naturally and it could quickly happen that you step in to a room full of staled air.
- Length of baby curtains: There are couple of factors which I described above which also apply to this point, but what would I like to point out here, can be easily done with couple of questions: Do you wish your baby being able to grab the curtains? Does a curtain needs to be a hiding place for your child? Would you like your child to climb the curtains? The answer to all of this questions could be: Baby curtains need to be short and thin. In this way we diminish the possibilities of something go wrong.
- Baby curtains color: Is one of the most important factors, thats why I am covering it as the last. Colors, like light & shadows, define a persons perception of the surrounding world. Some say, pastel colors are the best for decorating nursery, that is just partially true. Colors are like food. We need to, and do, exist in a world of thousand shades. That’s why there is no rule when baby curtains are in question. We just need to avoid excessive use of only one color. Can you imagine yourself living in a room, which is to dark, or even to bright (to white).
You can check OUR OFFER to find some baby curtains matching the above criteria.
After taken under consideration all of these factors, the best choice is always evident. One important factor is also to be considered. Common sense. Have a lot of it and you can’t miss.
Good luck decorating!
